Kids Unlimited believes that all children deserve the skills and opportunities to reach their fullest potential, regardless of economic, social and cultural barriers.

Beginning in our home city of Toledo, Ohio, we intend to help break the cycle of poverty through after-school and summer programs that empower kids to succeed.

Kids Unlimited will achieve our mission through a commitment to the following:

Leading by Example

We believe that we are called to teach our values by living them. All our interactions will be to reinforce those commitments. We are committed to a culture of respect. All students will be respected by Kids Unlimited, and the children will be taught to give that same respect to their peers, classroom leaders and the world at large.

Classroom as a Family

We view our classroom leaders as surrogate parents of our after-school classes. They will love, encourage, train and nurture their children as parents would. This includes modeling speech, asking about the children’s day, helping them stretch their abilities and realize their potential.

Integrated Training

We will use every opportunity during the program to train and encourage children to believe in their own dignity and their potential to contribute to the world.

World Expansion

We will strive to broaden the children’s worlds in all ways possible, by exposing them to other cultures, other ways of thinking, new places. We want them to see the great potential and beauty of the world and their place in it.

Contractual Relationship

We will interview every student and parent and will sign a contract with both of them outlining the expectations and commitments that Kids Unlimited, the children and parents are making to one other.
