Our programs focus on three core areas of childhood development:
The daily curriculum includes homework time, tutoring, reading and other activities that reinforce academic skills; structured games and activities that encourage focus, social skills, problem-solving, self-discipline, and more.
Guest speakers and field trips are incorporated periodically (especially during the summer program) to complement academic learning. Field trips include museums, sporting events, dairy farms and other local attractions. Special programs are also held on topics of particular interest such as etiquette and nutrition.
Kids Unlimited stresses the importance of parent/guardian involvement. We incorporate parent/guardian sessions on a regular basis after the daily program is finished, and we take every opportunity to engage parents and/or guardians in the lives of their children.
While Kids Unlimited staff is independent from the school staff, we stay in regular communication with the school staff to monitor students’ progress.
Each Kids Unlimited location has 40 to 50 children, with a Team Leader to student ratio of 1:8.
During the academic year, programs start 15 minutes after the school day ends, and runs until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. During the summer, we operate 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at school sites. Meals or snacks are provided during the program.
Participation in Kids Unlimited costs just $5 per week per student, thanks to the generous donations from individuals, businesses, foundations and public entities who make our program possible.
