Englewood Peace Academy has publicly acknowledged the role of Kids Unlimited in its improvement from “Academic Emergency” (level 5) to “Continuous Improvement” (level 3) during the 2006-07 school year as ranked by the State of Ohio.
On the National DIBELS test, Recently, Kids Unlimited students (grades K and 2) at one of our school locations improved 9 percentiles, while their classmates actually went back one percentile.
The second grade boys at Lincoln Academy raised their spelling grades from D/F to B/A over the course of one semester. One student had never passed a spelling test until Kids Unlimited intervened.
While national statistics show that inner-city children typically regress during summer vacation, the students in our 2006 summer program actually increased their reading grade level by an average of 4 months!
